The Senior Technical Officer will use professional skills to manage and lead on home adaptation and property improvement projects from inception to completion, ensuring financial, legislative and safety standards are met.
Responsibilities
* Offer support and technical guidance on property related queries, carrying out property feasibility studies.
* Prepare and submit planning and building regulations applications, including design duties using AutoCAD.
* Communicate with stakeholders at all levels, using phone, email and letter.
* Process a range of applications and deal with statutory consultations.
* Monitor contract management, ensuring progress and quality of building work.
* Undertake principal designer and client roles under CDM regulations.
* Manage projects from conception to completion.
* Provide technical guidance and support on property-related queries.
Qualifications
* Highly organised, self‑motivated and reliable.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work across multiple teams.
* Strong drive for accuracy and meticulous work.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint).
* Prior experience as a building surveyor or similar role delivering a wide range of building and improvement projects.
* Educated to HNC/D Level in surveying or a relevant professional qualification.

The salary for this Grade 10 role is £37,280 to £41,771 per annum.
