Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major long-term infrastructure and water-related project at Blackheath WRC. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a significant civils scheme with a strong pipeline of ongoing works and long-term project continuity.
The project involves extensive infrastructure, drainage, groundworks, and associated civils packages within a busy live construction environment.
Role
As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for all aspects of engineering support, setting out, surveying, QA, and technical coordination across the project.
You will work closely with site management teams, subcontractors, and operational staff to ensure works are delivered safely, accurately, and in line with programme requirements.
This role would suit someone with a strong civils or infrastructure background who is confident managing engineering duties independently on site.
Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out setting out and surveying duties across civils and infrastructure works
* Supporting site teams with technical and engineering queries
* Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
* Managing QA documentation, inspections, and as-built records
* Monitoring line, level, and dimensional accuracy throughout construction works
* Supporting programme delivery and coordination of works on site
* Maintaining accurate engineering and site records
* Liaising with subcontractors and operational teams to ensure efficient project delivery
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civils, infrastructure, utilities, or groundworks projects
* Strong understanding of setting out and surveying procedures
* Ability to work independently and manage engineering duties on live construction sites
* Good communication and organisational skills
