Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (Personal Care) Location: North West London Salary 318 -£23 per hour Contract: Full-time | Start Date: ASAP / About the Role We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support students with special educational needs (SEN), including those requiring personal care. This is a rewarding role working closely with pupils who may have autism (ASD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), or physical disabilities, helping them access education and develop independence. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN Assist with personal care needs (toileting, feeding, changing, mobility support) Support students with communication and emotional regulation Work alongside teachers to adapt learning activities Use specialist equipment where required (e.g. hoists, sensory tools) Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing at all times Monitor and record student progress About You Experience working with children or young people (SEN, care, healthcare, nursery, or similar) Comfortable supporting personal care needs Patient, empathetic, and resilient Strong teamwork and communication skills Willingness to learn and undertake training Desirable: Experience with ASD, PMLD, or complex needs Moving & Handling / Hoist training Background in care, support work, or health What We Offer Supportive and welcoming school environment Ongoing CPD and specialist SEN training Opportunity to progress into teaching, therapy, or pastoral roles A meaningful role making a real impact ️ Safeguarding This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
