Empowering Learning are looking for a Science Teacher to work in a Special Educational Needs School in an amazing setting in the East Midlands. The ideal candidate should have experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs, though this is not essential. We welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers. Area: Swadlincote
Salary: £130-£180 p/day (pay varies depending on experience and age)
The Ideal Candidate will have:
QTS or QTLS
Have the ability to teach pupils with SEND
Knowledge of secondary age curriculum expectations
Be able to teach a variety of subject including English and Maths
Be highly organised with excellent communication skills
Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children from all needs and backgrounds
Have excellent behaviour management skills
Understand the expectations against the Teachers Standards.Main Responsibilities
Teaching a variety of subjects to SEND pupils
Planning lessons and activities for whole class learning and group learning
Supporting SEND children with their work in a class setting
Managing difficult behaviours and implementing the school behaviour policy
Safeguarding vulnerable pupils
Possible supervising on lunch and break times
Supporting and managing teaching assistants within the classroom
