Contract: Fixed term 12 months (funded externally). Hours: Full time or part time; 37.5 hours per week covering five days a week.
Salary: £28,392 – £31,157 pro rata per annum. Salary period: Yearly. Closing date: 25/06/2026 23:59.

We are seeking exceptional personnel to join our Living with and Beyond Cancer Program. You will be part of a team of Cancer Care Navigators assisting patients to manage the practical and emotional impact of cancer, integrating this role into cancer pathways and supporting health and wellbeing events.
Main duties of the job
Work closely with Cancer Services and Cancer Nurse Specialist teams to serve as a primary contact for cancer patients and families. Tasks include navigation support through the cancer pathway, telephone patient triage, information provision, signposting, administrative duties for nurse‑led clinics and MDT outcomes, and tracking remote surveillance. Deliver holistic needs assessments and care‑planning telephone clinics for non‑complex needs. Manage patients on patient‑stratified follow‑up through remote monitoring.
Person specification
Qualifications
* GCSE English language and Mathematics (Grades A–C) or equivalent
* Recognised ECDL or equivalent or extensive experience using Microsoft Office
* Communication skills training (e.g., Thyme and Sage)
Experience
* Experience working in the NHS in a patient‑facing role
* Experience of multi‑professional working
* Experience in data management
* Experience of coaching/teaching patients and carers
* Experience in Cancer Care
* Understanding of Macmillan Cancer Support and its role across the UK
* Awareness of national cancer policies such as Improving Outcomes
