Principal Civil Engineer Birmingham £65k-£70k plus benefits Our client seeking a seasoned Senior Civil Engineer to become part of an established civil engineering team, delivering highway and drainage infrastructure support to a diverse range of prestigious international clients. The projects span various sectors, including automotive, commercial, industrial, retail, education, and residential. The successful applicant will manage the day-to-day operations of small to medium-scale projects under the guidance of an Associate Director. You'll be responsible for providing engineering solutions across a range of schemes for clients in these sectors. They are looking for someone who can thrive as part of a collaborative project team and confidently represent the company to clients and external stakeholders. The role demands the ability to take initiative, coordinate effectively with others, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. A solid track record in estate infrastructure, road and drainage design is essential, including experience with obtaining technical approvals for Section 38, 104, and 278 applications, as well as conducting flood risk assessments and creating drainage strategies. Excellent communication and report-writing skills are a must, as well as proficiency in AutoCAD and Causeway Flow. Experience with design software like PDS and Civil 3D would be a strong advantage, and training will be provided to develop these skills if necessary. Applicants should be Chartered with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and have a minimum of 10 years' hands-on design experience post-graduation.
