Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Sports Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching and teaching, with the ability to inspire and motivate athletes of all ages and skill levels. As a Sports Coach, you will be responsible for developing training programmes, enhancing athletic performance, and fostering a positive team environment.
This will be for an afterschool Multisports club at a Primary school based in Duffield DE56.
Tuesdays 3:30pm - 4:30pm
Duties
* Design and implement training sessions tailored to the needs of individual athletes and teams.
* Teach fundamental skills, strategies, and techniques in various sports disciplines.
* Monitor athlete progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance performance.
* Organise and lead practice sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
* Develop game plans and strategies for competitions while promoting teamwork and sportsmanship.
* Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and other coaching staff to ensure alignment on goals and expectations.
* Maintain records of athlete performance, attendance, and behaviour for assessment purposes.
* Stay updated on the latest coaching techniques, trends in sports science, and safety protocols.
Skills
* Proven experience in sports coaching with a strong understanding of various sports disciplines.
* Excellent teaching skills with the ability to convey complex concepts in an understandable manner.
* Strong leadership qualities to motivate athletes and foster teamwork.
* Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with athletes, parents, and colleagues.
* Ability to assess individual athlete needs and adapt training accordingly.
* Strong organisational skills to manage schedules, training sessions, and administrative tasks effectively.
