Job Overview
We are seeking to employ a Personal Assistant to provide respite support for a young person with complex additional needs. The role is for 6-12 hours per week, offered flexibly across weekdays, weekends and school holidays. The hourly rate is £14.14 per hour. The successful applicant will provide one-to-one support in the home and community, supporting engagement in meaningful activities and ensuring the young person's safety, wellbeing, and comfort at all times.

* Supporting engagement in play and structured activities within the home
* Assisting with personal care, delivered with dignity and respect

Qualifications & Personal Attributes
* A caring and respectful approach
* Ability to work flexibly, including some weekends
* Willingness to undertake personal care tasks
* Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality
* Excellent communication and behavioural cue responsiveness, ability to support an energetic individual with high support needs
* Patient, reliable, compassionate and able to build a positive and professional working relationship
Desirable
* Previous experience in care, support work or a related role
* Availability to provide occasional morning support for school preparation
* Understanding of disability and inclusive support
Requirements
Successful applicants will be required to undertake appropriate checks, including an Enhanced DBS and provide suitable references.
