I. DESCRIPTION OFSERVICES
The Department ofInformation Resources (DIR) requires the services of 1Software Developer 2 hereafter referred to asCandidate(s) who meets the general qualifications ofSoftware Developer 2 Applications/Software Developmentand the specifications outlined in this document for theTexas Parks and Wildlife Department.
All work products resulting from the project shall beconsidered works made for hire and are the property of theTexas Parks and Wildlife Department and mayinclude preselection requirements that potential Vendors (and theirCandidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks asauthorized by Texas law. Texas Parks and WildlifeDepartment will pay no fees for interviews or discussionswhich occur during the process of selecting aCandidate(s).
This frontend ReactJSdeveloper would work with other technical architects and will beresponsible for designing developing integrating testing andmaintaining robust web applications in React TypeScript ReduxMaterial UI Node.js frameworks and other related technologies. Thisperson should perform UX and UI Design considering accessibilityresponsiveness and meeting the features of modern web applications.This person could write code for server side rendering usingNode.js as well as integrate applications with micro services andReporting Services. This person should also optimize webapplications for performance compatibility and responsivenessacross various platforms and devices.
Thisperson should provide technical leadership by setting cleardirection mentoring developers and ensuring the delivery ofhighquality code and performing troubleshooting/debugging ofapplication issues. This person should help the team lead conductcode reviews to uphold code quality consistency and adherence ofbest practices.
This person should have goodcommunication and interpersonal skills and would collaborateclosely with project managers designers and stakeholders tounderstand requirements and deliver software solutions aligned withbusiness needs. They may also assist in developing maintaining andsupporting applications using othertechnologies.

III. TERMS OFSERVICE
Services areexpected to start 06/01/2024 and are expected tocomplete by 08/31/2025. Total estimated hoursper Candidate shall not exceed 2500 hours. Thisservice may be amended renewed and/or extended providing bothparties agree to do so in writing.
IV. WORK HOURS ANDLOCATION
Services shall beprovided during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinatedthrough the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00 PM excluding State holidays when the agency isclosed.
The primary work location(s) will beat Texas Parks and Wildlife headquarters IT Division 4200Smith School Road Austin Texas 78744.. Any and all travelper diem parking and/or living expenses shall be at the Candidatesand/or Vendors expense. Texas Parks and WildlifeDepartment will provide preapproved written authorizationfor travel for any services to be performed away from the primarywork location(s). Preapproved travel expenses are limited to therates and comply with the rules prescribed by the State of Texasfor travel by its classified employees including any requirementfor original receipts.
The Candidate(s) maybe required to work outside the normal business hours on weekendsevenings and holidays as requested. Payment for work over 40 hourswill be at the hourly rate quoted and must be coordinated andpreapproved through Texas Parks and WildlifeDepartment.
