Actual salary: £24,895 - £27,005 per annum

In September 2025 we began working with Trinity Multi Academy Trust with a view to joining their family of academies. Trinity is a growing and respected trust currently comprising of 11 academies, spanning primary to post-16 education and they have a strong and proud track record of helping schools to make a lasting, positive difference in the lives of young people.
It's an exciting time to be part of St Thomas' as we enter this new chapter.
We are now seeking to appoint a Pastoral Officer to join our team. This newly established role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the development of a strong pastoral provision and play a key role within the academy. You will work as part of the wider pastoral team to effectively implement all of the academy pastoral systems including;
* behaviour for Learning policy, including intervention strategies
* proactive attendance systems and monitoring of pupil attendance .
* monitoring and management of programmes of support for identified pupils, working in collaboration with other pastoral and SEN staff
* implementing and monitoring specialist inclusion intervention strategies, to support all pupils with special educational needs
* liaising with staff, parents, other education institutions and multi-agency partners to support pupils progress and overall development.
What we need:
* 5 or more GCSE's at grade 4/5 or above, including English and Maths (or equivalent)
* Experience of successfully working with identified disaffected pupils, or groups of pupils.
* Experience of working with young people with SEN or behavioural issues.
