About You
Are you passionate about inspiring young people and helping them build a brighter future? We are seeking a dedicated Employability Study Programme Tutor to join our dynamic team in Doncaster. You will have experience in teaching, a knack for engaging learners, and the drive to make a real difference.
To Excel In This Role, You Will Need
* A teaching qualification of Level 3 or above
* A qualification to a minimum of Level 3 in your vocational specialist subject
* Experience of teaching Maths and English up to Level 2
* The ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively and resolve conflicts professionally
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
About The Role
As an Employability Study Programme Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical learning experiences to young people. You will support learners from their initial assessment through to successful course completion, ensuring they gain essential employability skills, accredited qualifications, and develop their confidence.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
* Designing and delivering inspirational learning programmes that engage and motivate young people
* Teaching a variety of qualification levels, from Entry Level to Level 2, including Functional Skills and GCSE English and Maths
* Embedding employability and social skills within lessons to prepare learners for the workplace
* Monitoring and tracking learner progress, ensuring each student has individual targets and receives tailored support
* Assisting with the organisation of assessments, coursework, and exams
* Keeping up to date with the latest subject developments and incorporating them into your teaching practices
* Supporting learners with pastoral and tutorial guidance to help them achieve their goals
* Developing links with apprenticeship tutors and external organisations to enhance opportunities for students
Safeguarding responsibilities: This role will involve daily contact with learners, and you will be engaging in regulated activity relevant to children. All staff have a responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people, and/or vulnerable adults for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact. The charity’s Safeguarding Policy is available from the Central YMCA website.
