We’re looking for an experienced T&D Test Manager to oversee the safe operation of our test rigs, drive continuous improvement, and ensure our test activities deliver maximum performance and reliability. In this high‑impact role, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the efficiency, quality and safety of all workshop‑based test and development work. Key Responsibilities As T&D Test Manager, you will play a central leadership role in ensuring our testing capability is robust, effective and continuously evolving. You will: Oversee the daily operation of the workshop and ensure all test rigs are operated safely and effectively. Lead the build, commissioning and development of new test rigs and specialist equipment. Support technicians and engineers during build and test activities when required. Ensure software systems, records and departmental reporting are accurate and up to date. Manage and prioritise the test schedule, balancing workload across the team. Drive process improvements, facility upgrades and enhanced working practices. Mentor, develop and coach team members to build capability and performance. Uphold Health & Safety standards, contributing to RAMS, SSOWs and safe working procedures. Build strong working relationships with Production, Car Build and NDT to ensure clear communication and smooth component flow. Support ISO90001‑related quality processes. Lead recruitment and appraisal processes within the T&D workshop. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise We’re looking for a confident technical leader who thrives in fast‑paced, high‑performance engineering environments. You should have: Apprenticeship‑level education or equivalent in a relevant mechanical discipline. Experience in a lead or supervisory role within motorsport or a test‑focused engineering environment. Strong communication and people‑management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop others. Calmness under pressure and a track record of delivering results to tight deadlines. A proactive, enthusiastic and flexible mindset with strong problem‑solving skills. Ability to build strong working relationships across multiple departments.
