Our client, an established Tier 1 civil engineering contractor operating in the water industry, is seeking a Project Manager to join their delivery team. This multi-accredited and high-profile organisation has a strong pipeline of work in the water sector, delivering projects valued between £1m-£15m directly for Severn Trent Water and Thames Water, and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. With a healthy orderbook of AMP8 works, they are actively looking to strengthen their delivery team.
This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Worcester office with occasional site visits and the option for hybrid working.
Your new role
As Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
1. Producing financial forecasts, monitoring and controlling project costs and cost reporting, and producing monthly reports to the Contracts Manager
2. Delivering projects from design phase through topletion, including all handover documentation
3. Reviewing project progress, budget resources and planning
4. Ensuring production and implementation of project plans, risk assessments, method statements, site waste management plans and procurement of plant and materials are in line withpany procedures
5. Reviewing work packages and ensuring the scope of work is defined and understood
6. Chairing weekly site meetings and ensuring production of accurate records of any discussions and actions
7. Building and maintaining good relationships with framework suppliers, design consultants and the client
8. Developing and maintaining construction programmes with staff
9. Ensuring detailed site diaries/records arepleted.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:
10. Proven successful experience managing projects from inception through topletion in the water industry
11. Good knowledge of CDM regulations, design management, programme and risk management, and cost control, including forecasting, actual cost and value reporting
12. Knowledge of NEC form of contract including early warning andpensation event mechanisms
13. Strong interpersonal, organisational and people management skills
14. Full UK driving licence.
