Job Overview
Location: Tyttenhanger Farm, Coursers Rd, St Albans, AL4 0PG.
Working Hours =
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 17:00, including alternate Saturdays from 08:00 to 12:00. Total weekly working hours: 44.5 hours.

Salary from £37,000 to £40,000 per annum depending on experience

Main Duties – HGV Class 2 Hiab Driver Job Responsibilities
Ensure secure, safe, and timely delivery of building materials to varied customer sites across the region
Operate and maintain the Hiab crane in alignment with safety and operational standards
Provide outstanding customer service during every delivery, consistently representing Lawsons’ core values
Develop positive customer relationships as a key representative of Lawsons
Identify opportunities to promote Lawsons’ products and services during delivery routes
Safeguard all delivered products and company vehicles, with prompt reporting of any issues, loss, or damage
Uphold all company health and safety protocols, including effective incident reporting when required
Essential Skills and Experience for HGV Class 2 Hiab Driver Jobs
Valid HGV Class 2 and Hiab licence (mandatory)
Demonstrable HGV driving experience—experience within the builders’ merchant industry is especially valued
Approachable manner and proactive customer service attitude
Clear communication combined with high attention to detail
Adaptable approach to a fast-paced work environment with a self-motivated work ethic
Strong time management abilities for optimal productivity
