Job Overview
We have a full‑time/part‑time Senior Therapy Assistant vacancy to work in a community therapy team in the South of the City. The team treats adults over 16 referred from the hospital, GPs, district nurses and other health and social care services with a variety of conditions and therapy needs to maintain and improve independent living.
The successful candidate will deliver rehabilitation programmes and provide equipment to patients within the home environment. You will work alongside occupational therapists, physiotherapists and specialist therapy assistants to progress rehabilitation and improve independence.
We work in an integrated way with the nursing teams to achieve the patient goals in a patient‑centred manner. Staff are well supported with regular team meetings, supervision and training.
Responsibilities
* Deliver rehabilitation programmes and provide equipment to patients in the home environment.
* Work alongside occupational therapists, physiotherapists and specialist therapy assistants to progress rehabilitation and improve independence.
* Implement packages of care and rehabilitation programmes in the community and complete patient records.
* Undertake assessment of patients within departmental guidelines.
* Assist the interdisciplinary team in maintaining an efficient working environment.
* Support nursing teams and other professional staff to achieve patient goals.
