The Role We are seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to support pupils' learning, communication, and personal development. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support for non-verbal children with autism. Use alternative communication methods (e.g., PECS, Makaton, AAC devices). Assist with personal care and sensory needs where required. Foster a calm, structured, and engaging learning environment. Collaborate with the wider team to implement individual education plans (IEPs). What We're Looking For: Experience working with children with autism and/or non-verbal communication needs (preferred but not essential). A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
