Golden Charter is one of the UK's largest prepaid funeral plan providers, working with a network of nearly 2,900 independent funeral directors. With over 35 years of industry experience, we're at a pivotal stage of growth within our Marketing Insights team.
As our Marketing Analyst, you will work closely with the Marketing Analytics Partner to analyse marketing performance and customer behaviour, informing campaign decisions and driving growth.
What's the role?
This is a full-time, permanent position with hybrid work options in the Glasgow office, depending on business requirements.
You will collaborate closely with the Marketing Analytics Partner to support data analysis and analytics requirements. This involves working with marketing stakeholders, the central data team, and the customer data team to derive insights through advanced analytical techniques.
Key responsibilities include:
Become a subject matter expert on Golden Charter data sources and business rules
Produce Power BI marketing dashboards and provide insights for campaign performance and optimisation
Support the development and governance of Google Analytics to ensure accurate configuration
Analyse customer behaviour to enhance the end-to-end customer experience
Utilise FSS data to drive customer segmentation for targeted audiences and product development
Work collaboratively with senior marketing colleagues to understand business challenges and define project requirements
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Marketing Analyst with experience in data analysis, data visualisation, and web analytics who is comfortable working collaboratively with marketing stakeholders and colleagues in the central and customer data teams.
Essential experience and skills:
At least 1 years of experience working with data visualisation tools, specifically Power BI
At least 1 years of experience in web analytics, particularly Google Analytics
Knowledge of SQL and Python
Experience in data analytics and database analysis, including the application of data in marketing contexts
A blend of marketing, business, and technology knowledge
Understanding of ETL processes and data integration
Experience in the use of external segmentation models, such as FSS, Mosaic, Acorn
Desirable experience:
Understanding of campaign and promotional offer measurement-related metrics and tracking methodologies across multiple channels
