About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and driven ITS Engineer to join a dynamic team delivering cutting-edge Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and Traffic Signal projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead design initiatives, manage resources, and contribute to the development of smart, sustainable transport infrastructure across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design and delivery of ITS and Traffic Signal projects
* Manage technical excellence and ensure safety in all design activities
* Coordinate resource input, forecasting, and delivery to meet programme and budget targets
* Liaise with clients and internal teams to support project growth and collaboration
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation, and promote a strong safety culture
* Provide mentorship and leadership to junior engineers and design teams
* Maintain high standards of documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in the design and management of ITS or Traffic Signal projects
* Strong understanding of design standards and industry best practices
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
* Demonstrated ability to lead design teams and work independently
* Experience in financial management and project control
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
* Professional Membership of a recognised industry Institute or Institution (e.g., IET, CIHT, ICE)
* Relevant degree or equivalent experience in Civil Engineering, Transport Engineering, or related discipline
