Your newpany is an established international Lloyd’s Insurance broker based in the City of London is seeking a Senior North American Property & Casualty Claims Handler to join its claims team, with a specific focus on North American business. This role would suit an experienced claims professional with a strong background in handling US and Canadian Property & Casualty claims from cradle to grave, looking to work within a technically strong, market‑facing environment.
Your new roleIn this role, you will take full ownership of a portfolio of North American Property and Casualty claims, managing matters from initial notification through to final settlement. You will be responsible for coverage analysis, investigation coordination, reserving and settlement negotiation, working closely with brokers, underwriters, TPAs, adjusters, lawyers and other external advisors. The position offers exposure toplex and higher‑value Open market and Binder claims and the opportunity to contribute to claims MI, trend analysis and process improvement initiatives.
What you’ll need to succeedIn order to succeed, you will have extensive experience handling North American P&C claims, ideally within the London Market or Lloyd’s environment. Strong technical knowledge of US policy wordings, claims practices and regulatory considerations is essential, alongside the ability to manage a demanding caseload autonomously. You will be a confidentmunicator with a detail‑focused, proactive approach to claims handling.
