Job Description:
Our client, a global leader in their field, is looking for a Head of Compliance (Advisory) to join their team on a permanent basis.
The role reports to the Chief Compliance Officer, who is hugely inspirational. They are seeking someone to work in partnership with them—helping to build best-in-class compliance teams both in the UK and internationally.
The role involves leading the business-facing and strategic parts of the Compliance function, including:
* Working closely with the business to ensure activities comply with company policies, laws, and regulations
* Providing strategic oversight, regulatory interpretation, and stakeholder engagement to anticipate compliance risks and inform decision-making
* Leading and developing key compliance programmes such as policy development, third-party due diligence, and sanctions programmes
* Project managing global and strategic transformational projects to enhance compliance with key laws and regulations
* Designing controls and mitigation strategies
* Assisting the business in designing compliant new initiatives
* Implementing compliance policies and training programmes internationally
* Engaging with senior stakeholders, demonstrating professionalism, discretion, and integrity
To be considered, candidates should:
* Have extensive experience in compliance roles, especially with sanctions and third-party due diligence
* Have held a global leadership position
* Be experienced in developing compliance programmes
* Possess exceptional project management skills and experience leading large-scale transformation initiatives
* Be comfortable with both operational and strategic responsibilities, capable of shaping direction and delivering results
