Senior Engineer
Location: Derby.
Salary: GBP 50k – GBP 57k, generous benefits (negotiable depending on experience).
About the Client
Our established and highly successful Derby‑based niche sector client offers a range of highest quality services that encompass Project Management and Implementation, Consultancy and Software Development to blue‑chip clients worldwide. As part of its continued success and planned programme of strategic growth, we are now recruiting experienced and dedicated Senior Engineer professionals to complement the existing Industrial Automation team.
Key Responsibilities
* Technical responsibility for all aspects of projects, including adherence to requirements, design, development and testing of control/integrated systems.
* Day‑to‑day coordination and technical management of the team of project engineers.
* Programming a variety of PLCs using Ladder Logic, Function Block or Statement List methods; configuring SCADA software packages and user interface mimic design.
* Developing in high‑level programming languages (C, C++, C#, VB, VBA) and performing IP network design and configuration, as well as design and testing of ELV electrical panels.
* Configuring CCTV, PA and telephone systems over an IP network; performing FAT and site commissioning with formal client witnessing.
* Collaborating proactively with clients to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
* Degree or HND in control, electrical, electronic or software engineering.
* At least 5 years of successful experience delivering control/integrated systems using the skills listed above.
* Strong technical knowledge and proven project management capabilities.
