Job Description

The role of Asset Manager will play a key role in driving our operational efficiency by ensuring that our critical engineering Shuttle Assets perform at their best throughout their lifespan. This position will also be responsible for coordinating the maintenance planning, asset performance optimisation, and will need to be able to make informed data-led, strategic decisions that align with our long-term site needs.

NB: This is a Days based role. To apply you will need to upload a copy of your current CV and selected candidates will be invited to an in person on-site assessment.

What you'll do

Your key accountabilities will include

* Authority in the designated asset area, central contact point for assigned assets. Accountable for delivery of the engineering Strategy via Planned, Predictive, Corrective and Reactive Maintenance activities. Maintain good quality records for future referencing
* Create and maintain 5-year budget plan for area of control (£1M) and identify and deliver key capitol developments within area of responsibility
* Plan Maintenance activities in line with spares availability, access and resources. Attending Planning meetings to arrange downtime of assets. Liaise with Key Partners to target business and customer requirements
* Monitor plant performance and drive actions to ensure the assets within their area of responsibility are meeting the desired operations capabilities. Utilise Reliability Centred Maintenance and corrective actions to address SEV's through Root Cause Analysis
* Ensure the engineering team has the knowledge, skills and capability to maintain the equipment.

Who you are

Your skills and experience will include

* A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering subject areawith knowledge Health & Safety legislation. EG. Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER), the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) standards to ensure a safe working environment
* An inspiring manager who is able to develop, coach and mentor their Team to reach their full potential. With strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen, take feedback onboard, influence outcomes, and collaborate with a wide range of key partners to achieve positive business results
* A solid understanding of controls and systems integration and is able to utilise project management techniques to create effective plans with key timelines. Then identify areas of risk and plan contingency/monitors and communicate work and project progress
* Able to build, develop and present persuasive arguments to successfully complete deals on purchases and is able to adapt their style to the relevant audience and utilise their technical engineering knowledge.
* Ability to analyse and interpret data to provide insights using relevant software (Including MS Office, Excel & Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to prioritise and demand and enable timely decisions while taking into account of the wider risks and implications
