We would like to invite an experienced RMN to join the Perinatal Mental Health Team, covering Trafford, Manchester (South and Central) and Stockport.
As a Perinatal Practitioner you will provide support to women and birthing people who experience moderate to severe mental health problems during pregnancy and up to one year postpartum. You will work closely with service users, other professionals and multi‑agency partners to deliver high-quality care.
Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of women and birthing people experiencing perinatal mental illness.
* Coordinate and tailor complex packages of care for both mother/birthing person and infant.
* Conduct routine and urgent assessments of mental health risk and safeguarding concerns.
* Participate in the duty‑worker rota to provide round‑the‑clock support.
* Collaborate with Early Attachment services, IAPT services, maternity services, health visiting and children’s services.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experienced RMN with a genuine interest in supporting women and birthing people in the perinatal period.
* Strong communication and multi‑agency liaison skills.
* Compassionate, person‑centred approach.
* Valid driving licence (required for extensive travel across Greater Manchester).
* Commitment to ongoing training and robust supervision to maintain high standards of care.
