On behalf of our client, a leading aerospace manufacturing company, we are seeking a dedicated Commercial Analyst to join their team in Congleton. The purpose of the role is to support the Commercial and Pricing team in driving commercial effectiveness through high-quality data analysis, reporting, and administrative support across pricing, bids, and contract management. The role will contribute to enhancing customer value, supporting internal decision-making, and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of commercial processes. Key Responsibilities Data Analysis & Reporting Assist with the preparation of commercial reports and dashboards using Excel and other tools. Analyse sales, pricing, and margin data to support decision-making and identify performance trends. Help track commercial KPIs and support the development of business insights. Pricing Support Input and maintain pricing information in the ERP system with accuracy and attention to detail. Support the review of customer pricing to ensure it aligns with agreed terms and profitability targets. Market & Customer Intelligence Gather and summarise market and competitor data to help inform commercial decisions. Support the identification of industry trends and customer insights through desk-based research. Proposal and Bid Support Assist in preparing financial summaries, pricing breakdowns, and supporting data for customer proposals and bids. Track and help coordinate bid/RFP timelines in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Contract & Portal Management Help review customer portals to ensure contract data and pricing information is current and accurate. Support monitoring of SLA performance and customer scorecards. Margin & Financial Support Support the commercial team in regular margin and profitability analysis across key customers and products. Assist in identifying trends or anomalies in data that may require further investigation. Cross-functional Collaboration Liaise with sales, supply chain, and finance teams to gather relevant data and ensure commercial alignment. Participate in regular team meetings to provide updates and share insights. Experience & Knowledge Essential: 2-3 years' experience in a data-focused role within a B2B business (e.g., sales support, commercial analysis, finance or operations). Desirable: Exposure to a manufacturing or engineering environment. Qualifications Essential: Degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field. Desirable: Training or certifications in data analysis, Excel, or commercial/contract support. Skills & Abilities Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, basic formulas). Analytical mindset with a good eye for detail and accuracy. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively. Comfortable working with different departments and systems.
