Job Title: Collar Linking Operative We are looking for Collar Linkers to join our growing team in Hawick. This is a full-time permanent position, working 38 hours a week on dayshift. Rate of pay for this role is £13.08 per hour, increasing to £13.45 in May 2026. Full training will be provided, but if you have experience in this role or something similar, your expertise will be highly valued and welcomed. About the Role You will be: carefully following precise detailed written instructions for each type of garment attaching various types of trimmings (e.g. collars, cuffs, skirts, pockets) onto garments sorting trims to be fitted, measured and marking and then thread onto machinery running trimmings onto machine points at one stitch per point, and doubling where necessary running garments onto machine points evenly, or running on a straight wale, taking account of marked guide positions stitch trimmings and garment together by machine process, “chain off” remove garment and lay aside to barrow About you You will: have the ability to carefully and accurately follow detailed written instructions take pride in doing a job well, and never compromise on high standards communicate well with colleagues and be an enthusiastic and supportive team member have excellent colour vision have previous experience operating machinery About Us Founded in 1797, Johnstons of Elgin is an innovative, luxury clothing brand celebrating 225 years of experience in working with the world’s finest fibres.
