EYFS Nursery Teacher (Part-Time): Leading the Early Years in Blackpool (Multi Academy Trust School)
We're looking for an enthusiastic and qualified Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher to take on a crucial part-time role leading our Nursery and Pre-School room at a vibrant primary school in Blackpool.
This role offers an excellent balance of dedicated teaching time and flexibility!
The Role Commitment:
This is a guaranteed commitment starting Week Commencing 3rd November 2025 for one term. The fixed hours require you to work a full day every Thursday and an afternoon session every Friday. This equates to approximately 1.5 guaranteed days per week.
Our School Vision and Values:
The school is part of a supportive Multi-Academy Trust (MAT). Their shared vision guides everything they do, creating a fantastic environment for staff and pupils alike.
As a colletive we have pride in our Academy; 'An Academy to be Proud of'; respect for each other; integrity in all that we seek to achieve and the wholehearted pursuit of excellence in both academic attainment and social accomplishments, which are underpinned through promoting resilience in all our learners in all phases.
By making these values visible in every learner, they strive to provide a safe, healthy, stimulating, and exciting environment for all to work, learn, and play in, and in which access for all to a broad, balanced, and relevant curriculum is free and equal.
Core Responsibilities:
As the lead teacher in the Nursery and Pre-School setting, you will be responsible for:
Delivering planned work (planned by the school) and marking before leaving.
Ensure the classroom is safe and tidy before starting and leaving for the day.
Team Leadership: Working collaboratively with, and promoting respect amongst, the dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistants.
Creating a Safe Environment: Maintaining a safe, creative, and nurturing learning environment that promotes resilience from the very start of a child's journey.
Opportunity for Growth and Increased Hours:
Internal Opportunities: Being part of a Multi-Academy Trust means there is a strong possibility for referrals and recommendations for future work in our sister schools across the region once this term-long contract ends.
Increased Weekly Hours: In addition to the fixed Thursday/Friday hours, there is a strong opportunity to increase your total weekly hours by supporting sickness cover within the school's EYFS department on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. This offers flexible extra income and varied teaching experience without the full-time commitment.
What We're Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven experience within the EYFS phase (Nursery/Pre-School experience is essential).
A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to creating inspiring learning opportunities.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
A firm understanding of the current EYFS Statutory Framework.
If you are seeking a stable, part-time teaching role in Blackpool starting in November, with great flexibility for additional hours, future work potential across a Multi Academy Trust, and a clear alignment with our values, we encourage you to apply
