Overview

The successful candidate for this appointment will join an expanding department of Ophthalmology. This is a substantive post, which will receive CESR training opportunities. The appointee will be joining 21 Consultant Ophthalmologists, 6 Specialty Doctors and 5 Trainees. The successful candidate will work 12 PAs a week, which will include 8 DCC and 2 SPA split, and 2 PAs to cover on-call commitments.


Responsibilities

Duties other than those clinical duties specified will be in accordance with the Job Plan agreed between the Appointee, the present Consultants and the Chief Executive. The Job Plan allows time for Administration, Teaching and Medical Audit.


Governance and Training

Audit. Participation in audit/appraisal and CME is mandatory under clinical governance/GMC guidance.


Work Schedule and Flexibility

All clinicians may be required to work on any of the Trust’s sites and across the seven day period where necessary.


Support and Resources

Secretarial support and appropriate office accommodation and IT facilities will be provided.
