The role would suit sales managers with a strong specification background. Specification managers with experience supplying into the construction industry across the public and private sectors are required. You must be able to demonstrate a successful background in managing teams to targets and success. Applicants with experience dealing with builders, OEMs, housing associations, local authorities, utilities companies and facilities management providers are encouraged to apply.
Reporting to the to Sales Director, you will be responsible for managing and leading a small team of 4 within the specification sales team, covering the whole of the UK, across both the private and public sector. The role will be a mixture of team management and customer interaction. You will also liaise with internal sales, commercial, marketing, finance and operations teams. It will be your responsibility to drive sales and expand on the engagement and specification of the company’s products to customers. As part of your role you will report on sales pipelines, devise account plans for all portfolio customers and ensure all products/services are delivered to customers OTIF. You will identify new business opportunities inclusive of new markets, growth areas, market trends and be aware of competitor activity. As a team manager, you will support with tenders and contract renewals as well as the negotiation of annual trading agreements.
