We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering food items across the South West, maintaining a high standard of customer service, and ensuring correct delivery of goods through strong numeracy and literacy skills.
Monday to Saturday (or part time) – temp to perm for the right candidate.
This can be a part time or full time opportunity to suit candidates.
Own transport is required due to location.
Duties
* Safely operate a van to deliver goods to various locations.
* Load and unload items from the van, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
* Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any mechanical issues as necessary.
* Communicate effectively with staff and customers regarding schedules and any potential delays.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption.
* Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Requirements
* Valid driving licence (class B) with a clean driving record.
* Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
* Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
* Ability to lift.
