At Foster Care Associates, we’re on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Senior Supervising Social Worker to join our friendly team. This is your chance to help develop and promote fostering services in the Yorks & Lincs area!
Our team office is located in Melton, and we embrace a hybrid working model that allows you the flexibility to work from home. While you’ll primarily work remotely, occasional travel to our regional office in Sheffield and visits to foster families will be part of your role.

Your Responsibilities
* Support foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.
* Supervise, support, and monitor the suitability and competence of foster parents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
* Ensure foster carers understand their roles, competencies, and the standards expected, including FCA policies and procedures.
* Provide regular supervision to allocated foster parents in line with FCA's Operational Standards.
* Collaborate with foster families to identify needs and contribute to meetings and agreed actions.
* Maintain compliant records for each child and foster parent.
* Attend meetings and provide reports for commissioning teams regarding individual care packages.
* Encourage participation of children and young people in agency development and community resources.
* Participate in an out-of-hours support service on a rota basis.
* Conduct occasional initial home visits and Form F assessments.
What You’ll Need
* A Social Work qualification.
* Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
* Proven ability to produce high-quality reports.
* Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures.
* Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the Yorkshire/Humberside/Lincs area.
* Confidence in transporting children and young people in potentially challenging situations.
* A full UK driving licence.
