HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Willenhall, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay and genuine opportunities for growth and progression. Shifts: • Monday to Friday – 07:30 start Rates of Pay: • Basic: £17.50 per hour • £20.00 per hour after 12 weeks Benefits: • Excellent hourly rates • Ongoing work • Weekly pay • On-site canteen • Training provided • Immediate starts • Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties: • Carrying out trunking runs (some handball required) • Operating and driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently • Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections • Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly • Adhering to traffic laws and regulations • Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management • Assisting with loading and unloading when required Essential Skills: • A valid UK Category CE licence • Minimum of 12 months' experience driving CE vehicles • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes • A valid UK CPC card and Digital Tachograph card • Good spoken and written English • Punctuality and excellent timekeeping skills • A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations • Effective communication skills Desirable Experience: • Previous commercial driving experience Training Provided: • Driver's induction must be completed prior to starting work Apply: If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as a HGV Class 1 Driver, apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team to find out more.
