We have a variety of expertise, including Desktop and Audio Visual Services, Applications Support, Data Centre and Operations, Procurement and Asset Management as well as Technical Services for our student campus at MediaCityUK.The culture and ethos of Digital Service is directed towards collaboration with others to enable continual Service improvement and innovative solutions which deliver outstanding customer service.So what will the role involve?The role is designed to develop the Universities Audio Visual technology capabilities, an ideal opportunity for those who like to challenge themselves, progress and seize every opportunity, in return we will work with you develop your skills to become a master in your field.Responsible for 2nd/3rd line triage of all incidents and requests to ensure high availability of our Audio-Visual Services and IT systems. The roles responsibilities are varied, and will include the design, installation, support and maintenance of Audio visual installations, teaching space equipment, event production / technology & digital media production. Delivering against SLA’s, resolution of Major Incidents/supporting delivery of our ITIL processes.You must demonstrate a genuine interest, enthusiasm and basic experience or relevant training in the wider field of Audio Visual technology. Areas may include; Event production, Teaching Technologies, Integrated System Technology (AV control systems), AV installation, Video Conferencing Systems, Desktop Computers & IT, PowerPoint / Photoshop and design packages, Teaching VLE & Collaborate, Digital signage systems, Theatre production, Broadcast Media Technologies, Audio Engineering, Digital Streaming and Social Media. Its expected candidates will have varying skill sets and may not have experience in all areas, but be willing to continuously develop and train.The role requires a clear analytical approach to problem solving, along with excellent interpersonal and communications skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a diverse technical team.
