This company are specialists within their field, having secured major projects within the BMS and smart buildings sector. With consistent multi-million pound turnover and sustained growth over the past five years, they are now looking to strengthen their leadership team with an experienced Design Lead.
In this position you will play a pivotal role in the technical success of the company, managing design deliverables across multiple projects, overseeing other Design Managers and Engineers, and ensuring solutions are technically robust, commercially viable and delivered on time.
This role would ideally suit a BMS Design Manager looking for progression into senior leadership, or an experienced Design professional ready to take ownership of a growing department within a highly ambitious business.
The Role:
1. Lead and manage all BMS design deliverables across multiple projects
2. Produce and oversee technical submittals, points lists, descriptions of operation, schematics and layout drawings
3. Review solutions to identify technical and commercial risks
4. Liaise with main contractors, subcontractors, manufacturers and senior management
The Person:
5. Proven track record managing BMS design on large-scale construction projects
6. Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage design against budgets
7. Knowledge of IT networks, smart building concepts and cloud-based technologies
