We are currently seeking a Full-Time Supervising Social Worker to join our dynamic and friendly team in the North West. If you are passionate about fostering and want to make a difference, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Your Role:
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will:
* Support foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.
* Monitor the suitability and competence of foster parents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
* Provide regular supervision to allocated foster parents in line with FCA's Operational Standards.
* Work collaboratively with the child's network to identify needs and provide support.
* Ensure compliance with all key documentation for children and foster parents.
* Attend meetings and provide reports for Commissioning Teams.
* Promote the participation of children and young people in agency development.
* Participate in an 'out of hours' support service on a rota basis.
* Conduct occasional initial home visits and Form F Assessments.
What You Need:
* A Social Work qualification
* Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent
* Proven ability to produce high-quality reports
* Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures
* Willingness to travel extensively (including occasional nights away)
* Confidence in transporting children and young people in challenging situations
* Full driving licence
