With 900+ employees worldwide and strategic facilities across North America, Europe, and Asia, they're the specialty "ingredient shop" for science labs - providing ready-to-use recombinant proteins, antibodies, and testing kits that accelerate drug development from discovery through clinical application.
As Regional Sales Manager, you'll spearhead the strategic rebuild of our New England presence, managing 100+ established accounts while aggressively hunting new opportunities. This mission-critical role supports the US division - one of our client's top revenue generators globally - as they establish manufacturing independence and capture market share from competitors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive 15%+ year-over-year territory growth across Greater Boston, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Vermont markets
* Execute 2-3 customer visits per week, leveraging deep technical expertise in recombinant proteins, ELISA, SPR, BLI, and cell culture applications
* Develop and implement quarterly territory business plans using Salesforce CRM to track pipeline and forecast performance
* Educate customers on product value propositions, emphasizing superior quality-to-price ratios versus US-manufactured alternatives
* Collaborate with marketing, technical support, and Shanghai headquarters on product promotions and strategic initiatives
* Attend industry conferences and networking events to expand market presence and competitive intelligence
* Mentor associate-level team members as part of building future leadership bench strength
* Protect and expand existing customer relationships against aggressive competitive threats from copycat competitors
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or related life sciences field
* 5+ years proven biotech/biopharma sales experience with consistent territory growth (10%+ annually)
* Deep technical expertise in recombinant protein assays, antibodies, and related research applications
* Demonstrated success managing 100+ account territories with both hunting and farming responsibilities
* Proficiency with Salesforce CRM and consultative selling methodologies
* Available for 40-50% travel within territory plus conferences
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's/PhD in life sciences or technical sales certifications
* Field Application Scientist or technical sales background from protein reagent suppliers
* Immuno/gene therapy market experience
* Track record in saturated, competitive markets
* Market-competitive base salary $90,000-$120,000 based on experience
* Quarterly commission structure tied to territory growth performance
* Total compensation targets $140,000-$150,000+ for top achievers
