Role Overview
This role exists to transform a high‑traffic e‑commerce environment through smarter engineering, automation, and AI.
You will define our technology strategy, lead and scale a high‑performing engineering function, oversee our infrastructure architecture, and enable AI adoption across the full business lifecycle: pricing, customer acquisition, margin optimisation, fulfilment, fraud prevention, and beyond.
It is a hands‑on strategic leadership position. You will write credible production code while also operating at board level, shaping business direction and unlocking innovation.
You will have access to cutting‑edge compute through our sister company, Danucore, enabling model deployment and experimentation that competitors simply cannot match.

Key Responsibilities
* Own, deliver, and continuously evolve the company‑wide technology roadmap.
* Lead, mentor, and expand a high‑performing engineering and infrastructure team.
* Architect and run self‑hosted, high‑performance systems with resilience and security at the core.
* Embed AI and automation into commercial operations end‑to‑end.
* Drive data‑led decision‑making, margin optimisation, and customer lifetime value uplift.
* Work closely with Danucore to leverage world‑class GPU compute for ML workloads.
* Introduce and scale engineering best practices, tooling, and delivery processes.
* Influence executive decisions as a core member of the senior leadership team.
* Represent technology externally with partners and vendors where required.
Skills & Experience
* 7+ years in senior engineering and technology leadership roles.
* Strong capability writing clean, production‑ready Python.
* Background in high‑traffic e‑commerce or environments with significant operational complexity.
* Experience running and optimising self‑hosted or hybrid infrastructure at scale.
* Familiarity with AI/ML deployment, data engineering, and model lifecycle management.
* Proven ability to link technology delivery to commercial outcomes.
* Strong communicator with visible leadership presence.
