Due to promotion we have an exciting opportunity to recruit a qualified ACP registered Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist to join our team.
This is a full time post.
The post holder will be based in one of the clinics within Worcestershire CAMHS and will be part of their friendly and hard-working multi-disciplinary teams as well as part of a countywide Psychotherapy team that meets weekly. The ability to travel to meet with, seek support from and work alongside other team members and meet the needs of our patients in any of the three clinics is therefore essential. Successful applicants will have access to appropriate clinical supervision.
Main duties of the job
With support from the Senior Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist you will be expected to undertake specialist Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy assessments and treatment, including time-limited Psychotherapy where appropriate. In addition, you will have responsibility for assisting in screening referrals to our Under Fives Clinic within CAMHS and offering Under Fives Clinic consultations, assessments and treatment. State of mind assessments and parent work will also be needed.
As a Band 7 Psychotherapist you will be expected to be part of the integrated CAMHS multidisciplinary teams providing consultations to colleagues to support their work, contributing to case discussions and team formulations and facilitating reflective complex case discussion groups. There may be further opportunities to offer clinical supervision and develop your own specialist interests.

Person Specification
Experience
* Relevant clinical experience of CAMHS and children's mental health
* Assessing the needs of individual children and families
* Working with staff of other agencies involved in child care
* Working in a multi-disciplinary team
* Providing care in community settings
* Handling child protection issues
* Experience of consultation
Skills and Abilities
* Able to work independently
* Able to negotiate and collaborate with a wide range of professionals
* Able to function as part of a team
* Ability to praise and be supportive to others
Qualifications
* Doctorate level training in Child & Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (ACP accredited only)
* Full membership of ACP as a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist
* Evidence of CPD as required by the ACP
* I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.

* Knowledge required specific to the role and clinical area
* Advanced theoretical and applied knowledge of child and adolescent psychotherapy
* Experienced in using psychometric measures
* Evidence of research and evaluation skills and knowledge
