If so, this is a fantastic opportunity to help shape two new innovative independent living services in Central Northumberland.
We are looking for a dedicated, passionate and experienced Team Leader to join our team at Turning Point who will have the skills to prioritise working across the two new services. Both services will provide intensive housing related support for adults who may have enduring mental health backgrounds, autism, learning disabilities or physical health needs.
As a Team Leader you’ll make a real difference to individuals lives as you work closely with them to help them achieve their potential. You will form part of a supportive management team within the region and there is the opportunity for growth in the future.
As a Team Leader you will support the development of this service alongside the management Team, providing coaching and supervision to a team of Support Workers, enabling the service to meet and exceed outcomes and quality requirements that promote and develop independence for the individuals we support. You will be supported to develop and monitor rota’s and ensure that pay variable claims are correct and authorised.
Shift Patterns: Both locations are 24-hour services, therefore flexibility is essential. You will be required to work a percentage of your hours on rota / off rota, including ‘sleep in duty’ and some weekends.
It is essential that have previous relevant experience of using a person-centred approach in a Mental Health setting and a good understanding of the additional complex needs of individuals we support. As an effective team player you will possess excellent communication skills, a flexible approach, a positive attitude and be able to adapt in a changeable environment.
A background working in an environment supporting vulnerable people in the community is desirable. Experience of service planning and ensuring that services are well positioned to meet contractual requirements would also be advantageous. You will also have experience of supporting and coaching staff teams to provide high quality person centred support. As a leading health and social care provider with more than 300 locations across England, we take real pride in the services we offer.
We know reward looks different to each person and so whether its ways to make your money go further, a culture supporting recognition and celebration, or opportunities to boost your career – we want to support you in every way we can with our total reward package.
You will get 29 days’ paid holiday a year, increasing with each year of service up to 31 days. Plus the option to buy additional holidays and spread the cost.
