Speech and Language Therapist
Location
Hillingdon Granges – primarily based at Yiewsley Grange, with occasional support of other Hillingdon Grange sites.
Salary and Bonus
Up to £53,200 FTE (DOE). £5,000 Welcome Bonus (two payments of £2,500, as set out in T&C).
Hours
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.
Contract
Permanent. Term‑time only, or full‑time discussion based on your personal circumstances.
Job Summary
You will work collaboratively with the education team to provide bespoke speech and language therapy assessment and intervention to pupils with developmental trauma, neurodivergence, or SEMH needs. You will manage a full caseload, support your clinical supervisor and site lead, and contribute to staff training and consultation.
Responsibilities
* Conduct assessment and provide intervention for pupils in an education setting.
* Manage a full speech and language therapy caseload.
* Work within OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working, meeting professional and governing body standards.
* Contribute to staff training, consultation and multi‑disciplinary working.
* Maintain safeguarding culture and actively engage families, relatives and carers.
Qualifications – Essential Criteria
* Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
* HCPC registration.
* 1–2 years of fully registered practice in a similar setting.
* Experience with complex communication profiles, neurodiversity and trauma‑informed practice.
* Multi‑disciplinary collaboration experience.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Knowledge of RCSLT Communication Standards and relevant legislation.
* Experience using assessment tools, intervention strategies and support plan formulation.
* Willingness to attend training and pursue further qualifications relevant to ASD.
Qualifications – Desirable
* Understanding of sensory and motor differences affecting communication.
* Knowledge of the relationship between arousal levels and communication.
