Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caretaker to provide exceptional support and care in various settings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment while ensuring the well-being of individuals in their care. This role requires a strong commitment to service and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Duties
1. Perform commercial cleaning tasks, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising surfaces.
2. Assist individuals with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
3. Monitor the health and safety of residents or clients, reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
4. Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in the individual's condition.
5. Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere by engaging with individuals in meaningful ways.
6. Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored correctly.
7. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure comprehensive care is provided.
Skills
8. Proven experience in commercial cleaning is highly desirable.
9. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
10. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
11. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
12. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
13. Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations related to care environments.
