Job Position Summary: Responsible for proper operation and repair of manufacturing facility and equipment. This includes maintaining fluid levels in machines, minor contracting duties, and general shop cleanliness. Supports critical equipment repair / uptime.
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Ensure adherence to safety regulation and standard. Follow Safety culture and wear PPE when required.
* Confirms and maintains proper operation of manufacturing facility each day, including performing general contracting duties.
* Applies knowledge and ability to complete necessary repairs to all phases of manufacturing equipment.
* Diagnoses malfunctions promptly and reports to supervisor.
* Maintains tools and repairs equipment in optimum working condition.
* Uses proper tools and equipment safely to complete each repair.
* Reports any safety related issues or accident to management immediately.
* Support PM Program, critical equipment repair/ uptime.
* Receives products/materials from vendors and shipping agencies utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes.
* Ensures proper storage of received parts to inventory.
* Check machine fluid levels daily and maintain at a proper working level.
* Maintain general shop cleanliness and grounds upkeep.
* Complies with company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations.
* Follow 6s Procedures and maintains a clean organized work area.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills/Education/Experience:
* Prior Maintenance Experience preferred.
* Knowledge of CNC machines specifically Niigata, Matsuura, Nakamuura, Mazak, Haas, Yasda.
* Ability to Troubleshoot Machines.
* Has a Mechanical Aptitude.
* Ability to communicate both written and verbally.
* Ability to effectively communicate with fellow employees and customers.
* Ability to drive a forklift or learn.
* Ability to work as a team.
* Strong attention to details to find future problems before they happen and fix them.
* Organizational skills to keep work and area organized.
* Basic computer skills.
* Time Management Skills to meet the demand of the customer.
* Strong attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task.
* High school graduate or equivalent.
Working Conditions:
* Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust, and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts.
* May be asked to travel back and forth between Southwick and Westfield facilities.
Physical Requirements:
* Must have ability to read applicable customer documents with or without corrective lenses.
* May have to lift up to thirty (50) pounds at a time, as required.
* Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.
* Must be able to climb into and out of machines.
