Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shop Manager to lead our team within a premier department store in London. The Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and team management within our London department store location. This individual serves as the primary liaison between the off-site shop team and the Global Retail Director. They are accountable for maintaining operational excellence, driving sales performance, and fostering a productive and engaged team culture aligned with company standards.
This is a unique opportunity to represent our brand in a high-visibility setting and work autonomously while remaining connected to global retail leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Directly lead and manage all shop-in-shop team members, ensuring accountability, performance, and professionalism.
* Drive daily floor leadership and maintain a presence to support customer interactions and team efficiency.
* Coach and develop team members through regular feedback and performance conversations.
* Partner with HR and the Global Retail Director on any staffing, performance, or development needs.
Operational Execution
* Oversee store operations, including scheduling, payroll approvals, and on-site team communications.
* Maintain visual merchandising and product presentation to brand standards.
* Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with HQ for replenishment, transfers, and markdowns.
* Ensure adherence to all operational procedures and department store policies.
Communication & Reporting
* Serve as the point of contact for the Global Retail Director and department store management.
* Deliver weekly business and performance recaps, including sales insights, staffing updates, and operational needs.
* Communicate new directives, promotions, or product information from HQ to the shop team.
Store Maintenance & Compliance
* Ensure the shop is clean, organized, and compliant with all safety and operational standards.
* Partner with the department store facilities team as needed for maintenance or repairs.

Experience:
* 3+ years of store or shop-in-shop management experience within a premium or lifestyle retail brand
* 3+ years of retail/apparel operations experience
* 2+ years leading a team of Managers and/or Supervisors
* 1+ years in a commission-based environment is a plus
Skills/Abilities:
* Excellent communication and comfortable delegating tasks and responsibilities
* Ability to efficiently multitask and manage multiple projects at once
* Proficient in retail systems and standard business tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Point Of Sale (POS) systems)
* A collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Availability:
* Open & flexible availability, including but not limited to evenings, overnights, and weekends as well as holidays.
