An exciting opportunity has arisen within Croydon Health Services NHS Trust for a band 6 developmental / band 7 specialist nurse role within the endometriosis and gynaecology service. The purpose of this role is for the post holder to be responsible for the delivery of care for women and their families within women’s health. The post holder will undertake a holistic approach to the assessment, diagnosis and management of patients referred to the gynaecology and endometriosis service, working closely with other health care professionals from primary and secondary care settings.

Responsibilities
* Lead and facilitate the provision of high quality, specialist nursing care to women seen within the gynaecology service at CUH, with a specialist interest in Endometriosis and Benign Gynaecology.
* Responsible for own patient caseload, ensuring a research‑based plan of care reflecting assessments, diagnostics undertaken and recommendations for ongoing care.
* Provide diagnostics, treatment, support and advice to women and their families attending the Trust, either as an inpatient or outpatient.
* Act as a resource to other professionals on gynaecology and associated treatments and issues, encompassing clinical, consultative, teaching, leadership, research and audit functions.
* Run a nurse‑led clinic, take a detailed history of symptoms, request and carry out investigations such as blood tests, pelvic ultrasound and MRI scans.
* Receive direct new referrals to the clinic and follow up patients as required.
