Head of Strategic Accounts | High-growth InsurTech | Remote (UK) | £95K base, up to £125K OTE


About the Company


As our Head of Strategic Accounts, you are the high-level force behind most important client relationships. We're looking for a bright and experienced individual to come in and lead our Strategic Accounts team - this is a mix of high-level strategy across the whole book of business, as well as individual client relationship management.


We're a rapidly growing InsurTech firm, specialising in providing data services that make property underwriting teams can get the best possible risk ratings - and we're looking to build out our commercial team to future-proof our business.


About the Role


You will take the lead on our largest global accounts, making sure they are getting maximum value from our solutions while uncovering new ways to grow the partnership. From driving engagement and adoption to expanding relationships across regions, you will keep things moving, aligned, and exciting. You'll look after the full lifecycle of management, relationship building, and contract discussions for renewals; we're looking for someone who's comfortable explaining a technical product to a room full of underwriters or actuaries.


We're looking for one of three ideal backgrounds: either previous experience as an underwriter (and then a move to sales/relationship management); experience selling into insurance teams on long-term deals cycles; or account management or sales within the geospatial data sector.


You will juggle client happiness, commercial success, and company commercial strategy. Collaborating closely with customer success, product, marketing, and sales, you’ll bring everyone together to deliver tailored solutions that evolve with our clients’ needs, often pre-empting those needs before they come to us with a problem.


Responsibilities


* Be the trusted go-to for senior clients, owning relationships and leading the strategic conversation.
* Get under the hood of our clients’ businesses and turn big goals into smart, effective solutions.
* Spot growth opportunities early and lead the way on upsell and cross-sell initiatives.
* Offer sharp strategic counsel, asking the right questions and challenging clients (constructively, of course) when it helps them succeed.
* Juggle a portfolio of high-value and strategically important accounts with confidence and care.
* Track account performance against KPIs and commercial targets, sharing clear monthly updates with the wider business.
* Stay one step ahead of risks, manage scope creep, and set clear client expectations.
* Keep a sharp eye on revenue forecasting, budgets, profitability, and smart resource planning.
* Lead negotiations on contract renewals, fees, and licensing with confidence and clarity.
* Play an active role in hitting business-wide growth targets (and celebrating when we do).
* Set clear goals, give honest (and encouraging) feedback to your team, and run performance reviews that actually feel useful.
* Lead client pitch meetings and presentations
* Represent the business with confidence at senior-level meetings and industry events (handshakes and insight included).

Pay range and compensation package

* Base salary of up to £95K, and an OTE (with renewals, mainly) of ~£125K
