As we expand, we are seeking a Specialty Food Packaging Assistant to support our meticulous packaging processes and uphold our high standards of product integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Packaging Operations
Assist in daily caviar packaging activities, ensuring precision and adherence to quality standards.
Handle high-value, delicate products with exceptional care to maintain their pristine quality.
Inventory and Materials Management
Monitor stock levels of packaging materials and coordinate replenishment as needed.
Track inventory to maintain alignment with production schedules.
Quality Control
Conduct detailed inspections of products during packaging to ensure compliance with Gourmet House standards and food safety regulations.
Identify and promptly report any quality issues to the Production Manager.
Production Support
Collaborate with the Production Manager to implement daily schedules and optimize team workflows.
Assist with maintaining accurate documentation and production reports.
Compliance and Hygiene
Daily Sanitization of the Floors and materials.
Enforce strict hygiene and cleanliness protocols within the packaging environment.
Ensure adherence to FDA, USDA, and other regulatory requirements for food handling.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Certifications in food handling or production management are advantageous.
HACCP Knowledge is advantageous.
Familiarity with computers is advantageous.
Experience:
Previous experience in food production or packaging, ideally with high-value products, is strongly preferred.
Strong History of Food Safety
Familiarity with food safety regulations and protocols.
Skills and Competencies
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other basic computer applications.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in cold environments, including walk-in refrigerators.
Capability to lift and handle items weighing up to 25 pounds.
Comfort with standing for extended periods.
