We have an exciting opportunity for a enthusiastic person with administrative skills and knowledge and excellent people skills to join our small admin team supporting our Speech and Language Therapy Service across the Health Board.
Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board Speech and Language Therapy department are a friendly and compassionate team who place a strong commitment to supporting staff development and wellbeing.
Welsh Skills Essential: This post is advertised as Welsh skills are essential. This means Speaking & Listening at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. We don’t need fluency. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health. For more information, see ‘Welsh Language Guidance’ in the documents right at the bottom.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will carry out a range of admin duties including contacting patients / patient's families / carers and a range of professionals, booking appointments as well as using the Health Board electronic systems, to enable the smooth running of the busy, friendly department.

Knowledge
* RSA 2 Word Processing / Typing Qualification
* A basic knowledge of Excel and Databases.
* To hold or be working towards completing the European Computing Driving License (ECDL).
* To have a level of knowledge around record keeping management.
* The ability to communicate well with all levels of staff and members of the public. Accurate data-inputting skills
Experience
* Sufficient relevant office experience, in the NHS environment.
* Previous experience of working with the public
Skills
* Keyboard skills and knowledge of IT systems
* Myrddin
* Welsh language speaking/listening skills at Level 3 or above
* Ability to analyse statistical data
