Our client is currently recruiting an experienced HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter to join their team in Crawley. Duties & Responsibilities: * Maintain and repair vehicles to DVSA and manufacturer standards * Carry out inspections, servicing, MOT preparation, and complete service documentation * Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and improve fleet reliability * Diagnose faults using advanced diagnostic equipment, including auto-electrical systems * Work on HGVs, LCVs, trailers and PSVs * Attend roadside breakdowns using a company-provided breakdown van Experience & Requirements * Apprenticeship trained with City & Guilds HGV Parts 1, 2 & 3 or equivalent qualification * Proven experience servicing, repairing and fault-finding on commercial vehicles * Strong knowledge of vehicle body electrics, hydraulic and pneumatic systems * HGV Mechanic / Technician / Fitter experience required * Experience within the waste management sector advantageous * LGV Class C / HGV Class 2 licence desirable but not essential * Ability to work independently, safely and competently in a physically demanding role * Reliable, proactive and committed to delivering high standards of workmanship Pay & Benefits * Weekly pay * Company pension with 3% employer contribution * IRTEC training and accreditation * Free manufacturer product training * Free life insur...
