Overview
Personal Assistant required for a happy and lively teenage girl who lives in the Bodmin area. She has cerebral palsy, some mobility issues and some difficulty communicating. The role focuses on building a positive 1:1 relationship and providing support in the community.
Responsibilities
The Personal Assistant will:
* support her communication and social skills out in the community
* assist with activities she enjoys, including outdoors, dancing, listening to music, drawing, craft activities, baking, and engaging with rescue vehicles (police cars, ambulances, and especially fire engines)
* facilitate participation in activities in the local community with her family
Qualifications & Experience
* Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people with special educational needs is essential
* Car driver preferred with business class insurance
Details
* Pay rate: £12.60 per hour
* Availability: 4 hours per week (very flexible), mostly weekends and during school holidays
* Employed under a private arrangement with the family (not by Cornwall Council)
