Salary: Up to £35,000 per year
Hours: Mon - Fri 8:30-17:00pm
We're looking for a Multi-Modal Freight Operator with a strong focus on deep-sea imports from China to join our small but growing team of 7 in Chandlers Ford, Southampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 2-3 years' experience in freight forwarding who wants to develop their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Multi Modal Freight Operator Role:
Managing ocean, air, and road import shipments, with a strong emphasis on deep-sea imports from China.
Preparing and processing all relevant documentation, including customs clearance.
Liaising with shipping lines, carriers, and clients to ensure smooth and timely operations.
Monitoring shipments, managing costs, and ensuring accurate invoicing.
Supporting the team with process improvements and service delivery.
What we're looking for:
2-3 years' experience in freight forwarding or multi-modal logistics.
Solid knowledge of deep-sea import operations and customs procedures.
Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
Proactive, flexible, and able to work effectively in a small team environment.
