Offer description

The post holder will carry out a broad range of patient care activities under the supervision of a qualified nurse, maintaining patient privacy and dignity at all times.

The post holder will be required to work a rotational shift pattern between long day shifts of 11.5 hours and night duty shifts of 11.5 hours, covering Sunday to Saturday, including weekends and bank holidays.

Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band. All new appointments (excluding Medical & Dental roles) are subject to a 26-week probation period.

Minimum Requirements

* Good general education
* Willingness to undertake further training


Desirable Criteria

* NVQ Qualification, previous experience in hospital/nursing home setting
* Awareness of personal care needs
* Awareness of needs of older people
* Awareness of health and safety at work
* Awareness of rehabilitation skills
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Team worker
* Good practical/personal care skills
* Basic IT skills
* Hold a full, valid UK driving licence and have access to a car for business purposes (unless disabled as defined by the Equality Act 2010)
